Useful Online Resources

Want to improve your ELA and algebra skills? Take charge of your own learning? Relearn something you missed or move ahead of your class? Here are some resources which may be useful.

Khan Academy has resources to practice grammar and punctuation, as well as resources to practice algebra. If you would like a review of pre-algebra, you can find that, as well.

Vocabulary.com can help you learn and practice new vocabulary words. Make an account and tag Lordsburg High School. You can let the program help you find words, or you can create a list of words you want to practice, and use the program to practice those. There are also pre-made lists of words associated with books, so if you are reading a book and want to practice words for that book, search for one of those lists.

Looking to practice your reading skills in classic literature, but don't have a copy of the book? Project Gutenberg has free soft-copy versions of many public-domain works in various formats. You can download a Kindle version or an Epub version, or you can just read it online in an HTML version.

Wanting more familiarity with classic literature, but would rather hear it read? LibriVox has free audio books of public-domain literature read by volunteers.

This is by no means an exhaustive list: There are many, many other resources available to you. Feel free to browse the web and find other sites!
